Think in Decades

This photo was taken on January 2010 a time like now. Am the one in a black jacket holding a trophy. I was a second year student at Moi University and had just assumed the role of St John Ambulance Divisional Superintendant(DS) and led the team to win a national award in First Aid Competition. Apart from the normal club duties within the university which I diligently did, I did alot of volunteer activities in mobilization in Kesses, Cheptiret, Eldoret town and the entire Uasin Gishu county that the St John Ambulance Head office recognized my passion and commitment and immediately I finished my fourth year exams even before graduating they hired me and gave me a role that required an expert in Public Health, Disaster management or Medicine graduate with 3 years experience yet I studied B.A Economics. 10 years later am here and by God’s grace have achieved alot in the line of Safety and Health, have trained more than 100, 000 people on First aid, have received numerous awards and socially by God’s grace am slightly above where I thought I would be by now. I did not look at just 2010 then but I looked at the next 10 years and wrote a Vision 2020 of which again by GOD’S grace He helped me achieve it.
Friends, look, SMART PEOPLE THINK IN DECADES, AVERAGE PEOPLE THINK IN MONTHS.

As we start the year 2021, don’t just think about January and 2021 but think about the next 10 years. What do you want to do? Where do you want to be? It is possible you can make this decade memorable. Be smart! Think in decades. Have a vision 2030 plan and work on it from right now.
