Have you ever found yourself going through fire, deep waters, storms and darkness and the adversary threatening your life?
You reach a point where you surrender to the stubborn adversary and wonder if God will show up after you’ve been consumed.
I have three testimonies and I believe they’ll encourage you and bring glory to God.
1.Sometimes back in 2007 in Nakuru, I had two friends who wanted two things that each had. One was a lady and the other gentleman and they were in their late 30s and really wanted to get married. The lady admired the guy but her instincts were telling her not to get married to him and the guy liked the lady but he had a deep inner conviction to be cautious about this lady. One day the guy requested me to interrogate this lady to check if she had some secrets she has been concealing and because he knew I was very good at investigation he gave me some money to take her out anywhere she wanted, spend quality time with her and when I requested the lady she was excited. She knew too that spending time with me would give her a great opportunity to interrogate me about the man she really wanted. This was around Mchanga area near Kagoto and so the lady requested we go for a walk around Menengai crater. We bought some drinks and snacks and we walked all the way to Mile Sita then up to the crater. When we got to the crater she was so excited and she really pushed me that we go down into the crater and though I feared for our security I did not object. We went deep into the bushes then all of a sudden I felt my spirit warn me that we were in danger. I told her that we go back but she was just excited sharing about how she loved the guy. Immediately when I looked back I saw two men following us and they looked like thugs, I told her we change the route and hurriedly walk out of the crater but immediately we noticed someone infront of us holding a knife. The three guys surrounded us and commanded us to sit down and not dare do anything. This was inside Menengai crater deep in the bushes. I knew we were in danger and the worst could be either have them rape the lady or kill me. They took the bag and ate all the snacks and drinks, took away our phones and my wallet. After begging them they gave back our sim cards and my wallet minus the cash. They told me to sing them a song, say a bible verse and narrate a funny story. The worst part is here. Two of them took the lady and just 10 meters from where we were they requested her to undress. I was shaking literally and wishing I had a gun. To be honest there is nothing I could do because we were surrounded by three men inside the bush where even if you screamed no one would hear. The knife the guy was holding was bloody. They had introduced themselves as members of one known ruthless illegal sect. I chose not to worry but started talking to God silently. I told God, “Please God, intervene here. We can do nothing on our own. Please give us a testimony out of this and we shall never forget your wonderful acts.” Immediately I said that I felt some peace and started praising God silently. My expectation was an angel would show up, thunder or a wild animal to scare them aware but it happened differently. The guy that was manning me told me to stop closing my eyes and looking down but to keep looking straight into his eyes and said, “I am the Man who kills himself and run away.” I don’t know what that meant. How can you kill yourself then run away?
The guy who was attempting to rape her was unable not because she was fighting back but his manhood refused to rise to the occasion. I could hear him say, “Can you touch me to feel good…” “Touch me now, kiss me faster faster…” The other guy was telling him, finish the game I come rider her like a wild donkey. I just heard a voice tell me to say that she was HIV infected, is under medication and the smooth brown face she had was due to her body side effects to the medication so they should use protection. Immediately the guy guarding me with a knife shouted to them to be careful and they feared and told her to dress up aende akakufie mbele peke yake. That is how she escaped the rape. They told us to get up and go, showed us the nearest route and commanded us to run and not look back. That is how we survived. No one was harmed though we lost money and phones. The lady was later married by a different guy and the dude also married another lady and all have beautiful families and are blessed.
God rescued us from the teeth of our adversaries to God be the glory. In your case my friend, just let God take charge. Surrender yourself and start praising giving thanks for the deliverance He is about to give you. He will sort it out in His style and fashion.
2.In 2001 still in Nakuru Mariguine area in wanyororo, I had visited some guys around Rovy girls school where we were preparing to release a rap song though the guy who was connecting us to a music producer was later arrested and jailed. While walking back home around 7:30pm I had not noted that there were some thugs following me. Normally bad boys have their territories where they rule and in case any bad boy from another territory invades and is spotted within their hood they must attack him and so they had spotted me in their territory. My territory was Murunyu and its neighborhood. They surrounded and kidnapped me and took me deep into the village at the Mombasa area. One of them told me that nitajua Mbona super glue huwa haishiki ile chupa yake.
I was not born again but I told God to intervene and surrendered the battle to him. I was chewing gum in peace even as they assure me that I would die that day. On our way to Mombasa area, I was thanking and praising God silently. One guy came close to me and started engaging me in whispers warning me of the danger I was to face and he assured that he would try rescue me. He informed me that one of the guy there was a murderer and a wanted criminal and I was surprised to see that he had tucked an old knife around his waist.
They took me into an old house where there were a lot of people drinking illicit brew and smoking weed and they fixed me in one corner of the house. The guy who had promised to rescue me asked me how much money I had and in my pocket I had Ksh 190 which he requested that I order Chan’gaa(illicit brew) for all of them and once they get drunk and excited he would blind fold the ring leader then signal me to swiftly escape. A glass of the brew was Ksh 20. He did exactly that and I was able to escape. They followed me(a gang of 9 men) but they could not catch up with my speed. God intervened and used one of the gang members to rescue me and gave me divine speed to save my life and to Him be the glory. If He rescued and saved me from this, what is that difficult situation that you are in. Nothing is too difficult for our God. He can use even your enemies or that situation that you are facing right now. That predicament will evolve and your help will come from within. The trouble makers and enemies are the same people who will work out your escape.
3.In 2018 one day I received a strange call. The person introduced himself as the Human Resource manager of one of the big Private hospitals in Kenya. He had my name, knew that I was an Ambassador of Safety and he told me that in 2013 I trained her daughter on First Aid and she became so passionate in life saving and through that she secured a full scholarship in Scotland to pursue medicine and for this reason he wanted to appreciate me. I had trained more than 10,000 people on First aid by then and so I could not tell which student she was. He said that because I was an honorable man and not worth buying me tea they had vacancies for 8 nurses and they would give me 3 slots. He told me to refer as many nurses as I could and from my referrals he could hire three to honor me. What an opportunity. I posted on all my social media pages and called several friends and pastors to refer nurses and for sure they applied in numbers but here was the set up. These were conmen. It was a Scam. The following day at 6am one of my friends called and told me that the person we referred was kidnapped and was somewhere in Pipeline, Nairobi. I sensed danger and started reaching out to all people that I had referred. It was too late. By 8:30am I received a call that another one was held hostage in a hotel at the CBD and had already lost Ksh 30,000 after they took her phone and started calling her family members to send money for her new job insurance and uniforms. I went straight to that hotel, confirmed the incident and then I went straight to central police station to report the incident. More calls were coming. When I reported, I was immediately arrested as the major suspect. The CID police locked me in a room and started interrogating me. I called my mum and she confirmed that in that night she had a bad dream about me and she was in prayers. While in that room I started making a silent prayer and told God, ‘Thank you God because this is not a surprise to you and thank you because it will end well. Please do not let me be ashamed or lose anything but let me learn of your goodness and may it end well and be ye glorified.’ I started smiling in peace and one police shouted, ‘Wewe mahabusu wacha kuchekacheka na wewe ni jambazi sugu…’
The case became serious as more calls were coming in and the Regional DCI officer requested that I be taken to his office. He called NIS office and two officers came and we had a group meeting. They told me not to worry but comply with the operation they were to begin. We used some of the nurses as baits, those who I called and admitted that the so called HR officer had given them an appointment. We told them to confirm the appointment so that we could use them to get hold of the guys. The officers had some gadgets that traced their signals and calls and we started tracking them. I was released but was told to be in town the following morning at 5am and by 8am the key guy (Mr HR Manager) was arrested and after interrogation and some good harassment by the officers he started naming the team that he has been working with and within 6hrs more than 10 people were arrested. God rescued me but again used me to help arrest some criminals who had even stolen motor vehicles and more than 10 phones collected from their houses. The funny thing is that this incident happened a day after I preached at a school in Nakuru and almost a hundred students gave their lives to Christ. God allowed it to happen to me and through me even after using me to win in His kingdom. He was able to prevent it from happening to me but He allowed it and was with me all through. Not all things are good but all things work and happens together for our good.
The bible says that God was with Joseph wherever He went, this however didn’t prevent him from facing his brother’s wrath, being imprisoned or temptation from Potiphar’s wife. My brother and my sister, the fact that you are going through what you are going through doesn’t mean God Has left you. Even though not all things are good, all things worketh for good. He will never leave nor forsake you. In whatever you are going through, God is where He was when Joseph was being sold by his brothers and He is where He was when Joseph was being tempted and imprisoned for all that time.
There is nothing that is too hard for the Lord. He ensured that the fire did not consume Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego though they were in it. Moses though in a den of lions they did not harm him. Paul did not die after being bitten by the snake. The children of Israel though inside the Red Sea and pursued by the Pharaoh army they were not consumed.
My friend, listen, Right Knowledge Plus Right Action is equals to Favorable Outcome.
Know this, in all these areas I conquered by surrendering it to God and not worrying. I took up praise and thanks giving and went through it victoriously. This is how I win my battles.
Listen to me, prayer is not the only key, but where prayer is not the key, it becomes the hand that holds the key to the door. Pray and let God fight for you. Sometimes you not only pray until something happens but you pray until you hear God. He will always tell you what to do, all you will always see Him do it for you.
Isaiah 43:2-4(MSG) Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—
Because I am GOD, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.
My friend, the people who knows their God shall be mighty and do exploits. Who is your God?
All things are possible to those who believe. Nothing is impossible with our God and nothing is a surprise to Him.
I don’t know what is bothering you my friend or the predicament you are in. Just know that this too shall end well my friend. It is divinely orchestrated and is working together for your good. Be encouraged.
