World First Aid Day, commemorated every second Saturday of September, is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of first aid. This year, on September 14th, 2024, the theme is “First Aid and Sports.” As the Ambassador of Safety, I have made it my mission to help build a culture of safety, organizing the first First Aid Day event in Kenya in 2016. With experience training over 100,000 first aiders and responding to more than 270 major incidents, my commitment to safety is unwavering. Throughout my career, I have held key roles, including Training Manager at St John Ambulance Kenya, Director of Training at Bloodlink Foundation, Training Coordinator for the Kenya Red Cross Uasin Gishu Chapter, and Director of Training at Makinika Afrika International. This year, I will be featured in various media outlets sharing insights about first aid. Visit www.ambstevembugua.co.ke for more details.
