On 3rd August 2003 at 12:00noon at Deliverance Church Murunyu in Nakuru county, I gave my life to Christ after the word of God came strongly to me through Rev Elijah Maina Mwangi from the book of Isiah60:1-10. >Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. “Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come. Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD. All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple…..”Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.<
That is when my life took a complete turn around and that is the best decision I have ever made in life, of accepting Christ as my Lord and savior. I was a school dropout having left Bavuni High School at form two, abusing drugs and pick pocketing people at Nakuru town .Today am living a fruitful life serving my purpose with a peace that the world can never offer.
Throughout life you have made certain decisions about what you believe; whether it concerns politics, religion, what house you will buy, or who you will marry. There are times when decisions in life can be difficult. Sometimes, it is just a matter of gathering all of the information and facts and drawing an intelligent conclusion. Most decisions in life are made when you call yourself for an urgent meeting, in that moment of solitude you’ll hear a soft and silent voice telling you what to do.
Isaiah 30: 21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
The decisions you will make as you read this information can bring healing, growth, and restoration into every aspect of your life.
Let me ask you this very important question: If you died today, where would you spend eternity?
The Bible says,” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
You see, God loves you and He has a great plan for your life. He wants everyone to accept His free gift of salvation and everlasting life.
Let me ask you another question; If you believed something that was not true, would you want to know the truth? Perhaps, like most people, you believe that just because you are a good person you will go to heaven. However, Romans 3:23 says, “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Does that include you? Romans 6:23 goes on to say, “…the wages of sin is death.” You see, God knows we desire to live an upright and moral life. He knows that we basically want to do the right thing. More importantly, He knows that as humans we are weak and at times are unable to overcome sin in our lives. For that reason, He sent His Son, Jesus, as a substitute to die for our sins. You see, there is power in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. When we go to God and ask forgiveness of sin, the Blood of Jesus covers our sins. It says, “We are no longer guilty.”
Receiving the gift of salvation is so simple. All you have to do is invite Jesus Christ into your life to be your Lord and Savior.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Now that you know it is a free gift, the only other thing you need to know is how tor eceive this gift. Once again, it is not hard. Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” In other words, all you have to do is pray from your heart this simple prayer.
I ask you to come into my life, to be my Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and rose victorious over death. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. I turn from my sin today, only to follow Jesus Christ all the days of my life. Lord, I give you all of my pain, all of my hurts, all of my fears, and all of my infirmities. Today, I receive total and complete healing in my life. Because of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, from this day forward, I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. AMEN!!!!
