Churches are generally open environments and therefore much more vulnerable than other controlled or semi-controlled workplaces and institutions. Churches by virtue of their nature and their openness tend to attract all types of individuals;
Therefore prudence should guide the church leadership and administrators as they seek to develop and improve on their security and safety initiatives.
Most churches have put little or no emphasis on Safety and Security which is a very crucial priority for our day to day operations. While the likelihood of a deadly shooting at a church has increased dramatically in the last ten years, there are many other types of threats to church-goers, and especially children, that are more likely and, often, more preventable, including physical or sexual abuse, kidnapping, and theft of property or private information. Churches cannot afford to ignore this reality.
Each church must decide for itself what steps to take, but we want to empower those decisions with vital information in line with the Occupational Health and Safety rules and also for best practice.
Even us we pray to God for Safety in our church, it’s of great importance to put up measures to curb any incident that may happen inside or around the church.
Our program help churches to develop effective Safety and Security procedures and help the participants to be able to develop and conduct:-
