MY DREAM OF BECOMING A DEEJAY – DON’T LET SETBACKS SET YOU BACK

I worked as a Barber in this Universal Kinyozi at Tumsifu area in Nakuru and my dream then was to raise money to enroll in a DJ Academy. My role model then was DJ Adrian. Home boyz DJ Academy was willing to enroll me but I didn’t have anyone to host me in Nairobi to attend Classes. I had dropped out of high school at Form 2 and for four years from year 2000 to 2003 I was out there in the school of life and I thought maybe becoming a Deejay would spice up my life. Because of my passion of becoming a Deejay I would visit all clubs in Nakuru like Dimples, Coco Savanna etc every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday Jam sessions. Almost everything that I tried out didn’t work for me and after I gave my life to Christ on 3rd August 2003, my perspective of life changed and I desired to go back to school, work hard, go to the university and live a life with dignity. I went back to form two in the year 2004(after four years of clubbing, drug trafficing and some serious crimes) after being out for four years in the school of life and I performed so well and joined the university.
It’s because of this setback that I opted to go back to High School. I was re-directed and I found out a better door, path and I chose to stick to my lane and run my race.
Don’t be disappointed by the rejection or the opportunity that you missed and chances that never favored you. You weren’t rejected…. you were REDIRECTED!
My friend, don’t get stuck on what is not working or didn’t work for you. Your UPGRADE is coming!! Never allow what you’re going through to block you from what you’re going to! You might see some people having their breakthroughs come so easily but this could be because they are doing a 100m run but yours will be a long distance marathon so don’t be amazed by their speed.
Be okay with other people receiving their blessing while yours is still in development. Your time is coming!
Your new season is approaching. Your situation may have started out one way, but the Lord says,”believe in ME for the outcome.”
Don’t cry for dreams that won’t come true today. Sometimes ya just gotta find another way. Everyone has setbacks, disappointments and missed opportunities. But wallowing in the past and focusing on the negatives is a sure way to doom your future.
Now it is your choice to be a depressed, negative minded person or an inspirational, positive willing individual. Your attitude determines your mindset on which your behavior and life depend ultimately.
When you see what God goes, you’re going to say it was worth the wait.
DON’T LET SETBACKS SET YOU BACK!!!!!
