If you look at these two pictures, you will see some transition from when I was doing Mjengos and all sorts of Kibaruas around our shags to today where I manage my own ventures and touching dozens of lives. My working at Mjengos didn’t prevent me from becoming who I am today and my current status also will not prevent me from becoming what God wants me to be tomorrow, unless I chose to ruin my tomorrow through my action today. They say that today is as a results of the dreams I pursued yesterday and thus the dreams I will pursue today will determine my status tomorrow. I have to make the choice, to take the chance, if I want anything in my life to change. I have to take responsibility of my destiny without blaming the government, system, situation or people even as I wait on God.
The bible says that God blesses the works of our hands, is there something that you are doing that God will come and bless. Diligent hands will rule and He teaches our hands to make wealth. You have to take responsibility. Put your hands to work, whatever it is even if it is mjengo, selling porridge in the street, selling eggs online etc.
Maybe you have lost your job, got ill, your business was affected by Covid, your fiancee rejected you etc. My friend, that setback is a set up for a great comeback. You are getting into a season of flourishing, restoration and great re-introduction. The Lord is coming to water you up.
JOB14:7-9 “For there is hope for a tree,
If it is cut down, that it will sprout again,
And that the shoots of it will not cease nor fail,
8 “Though its roots grow old in the earth
And its stump dies in the dry soil,
9 Yet at the scent of water [the stump of the tree] will flourish
And bring forth sprigs and shoots like a seedling.
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward before releasing it. so when sometimes life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that its going to launch you forward to something great. No matter what race or battle you are in, for everyone this is a personal struggle and fight. Some people are in a race, fighting for their life on a sick-bed, they just had a traumatizing diagnosis, they need to win, live. Others are fighting for their loved ones, in prison, custody, race for time to save those in battle. Some races are for the sake of the dignity of a human soul, a race to gain back control of your life, freedom, you want to win at being you, without any restrictions or from some negative people in your life, you are in a race to learn something, learn to forgive, let go, move on, let in, love. Everyone is in a race to win, but each race is very different
The prize is subjective, definitely, what each person is fighting for has a different meaning at the end when they win. No two prizes will feel the same, the accomplishment of each goal means something different for each one of us.
In your race, allow God to lead your steps, to instruct you and cheer you up and you will emerge victorious. Let go the fears, don’t give up or give in, God will glorify himself in it and give you a glorious outcome. You are a winner in Jesus name!
You have to play your part of praying. You can sing my song, you can preach my preaching but you cannot re-pray my prayer. Prayers sets the boundaries. PUSH(Pray Until Something Happen).
Friend, that too shall pass. It is well with you. Fear not, do not loose hope nor give up. God is aware and working behind the scenes in Jesus name. Shalom.
