On Monday 5th December 1983, I was born into this beautiful world. On Sunday 3rd August 2003 at 12noon, I gave my life to Christ at Deliverance Church Murunyu in Nakuru and this is one of the best thing that ever happened to my life and the best decision that I have ever made.
On Thursday 26th May 2011 at 11pm, I discovered my purpose. This was after a long struggle with the holy spirit wanting to know my role in the body of Christ and after 3 good hours lying on the floor of my room, the Lord asked me, “what is in your hand?” I responded, “its my phone.” Then the voice told me to write a text and forward to somebody. I didn’t know what to type but surprisingly and immediately I received a nice text from someone. I checked the credit I had and realized I had 10 shillings and so I forwarded it to 10 friends and this was around 11:15pm and my friend, that text did glorious things and every one who got the text called and others sent replies claiming that God had talked to them through that text and infact one of the guy who called told me that they were in a hospital after their last born got ill at night and they had a challenge getting a physician but immediately they read the text and wondering who and why the text was sent, the doctor showed up and after one week the gentleman gave his life to Christ. Almost eight years ago when the gentleman was taking me to my inlaws to take dowry, he told me that I led him to Christ through the text I sent that night.
a lot of things have happened, I have led more than 250 young men to Christ by the grace of God. I have preached in a lot of institutions like Anestar Boys high school, Moi Ndeffo school, St Evans School, Shunem girls, St Anthony Engashura, Nakuru counseling and Training Institute, Bahati boys, Goshen academy, St Georges Grassland School, St Gabriel academy, Njoro girls, Njoro Academy, Bavuni Secondary, St Monicah Secondary, Lanet hillsview academy ,Baraka Royal Secondary, Nakuru school, Nakuru boys and girls high school, Tunwek high school Eldoret, cheptiret high school, Blescohouse School, Lily academy in Nairobi, Kamiti prison, Eldoret Garrison prison, different churches, places and institutions.
I have written a lot of articles and publications and some appearing in different churches, institutions and organizations journals to the glory of God. I have authored 3 motivational books(Behind the scenes, Dare not quit, Overcoming all odds) and a journal on The art of effective church ushering all available on www.ambstevembugua.co.ke.
I have always written stuff on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and other social media spaces and God has always talked to somebody through this. In all my social media pages I go by the name Amb Steve Mbugua and am sure if you go through the page you’ll get something inspiring for you.
Today as I sit here in my office meditating on what the Lord has done through me since 26th May 2011 when I discovered my purpose, I feel humbled by His love and faithfulness, surely He has been good to me and his grace has been sufficient. There is no one like my God.
Some of my encouraging bible verses have been;
psalm32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you concerning the path you should walk; I will direct you with my eye.”
Psalm2:8, “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”
John14:14, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John16:24 “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John14:6,”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Psalm91:14-16,” “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Surely, My God has been good to me, I was a stammerer and could not dare stand and talk infront of people but today here I am, declaring the goodness of God to nations, His love flowing in me, He has anointed my head and my cup is overflowing.
My friend, the secret is knowing God and allowing Him to lead your life and you will never live in regret but will have a purpose driven life, your life will never be the same again. You are His project and He is the project manager and main donor so just surrender your life unto Him and allow Him to lead your life. Shalom!
